Infrastructure modelling

Purpose – This literature review provides an overview of the traditional and green supply chain structures, an overview of the traditional and green performance measures and measurement systems. The supply chain infrastructure modelling is discussed from the strategic point of view, e.g. facility location. Different supply chain design models with single and multiple objectives are discussed. The mathematical and ‘real-world’ supply chains design models were investigated in terms of optimization objectives, tools and techniques. The uncertainties in the supply chain design are also discussed. Design/Methodology/approach – The review provides taxonomy of supply chain design models including mathematical and ‘real-world’ supply chain optimisation models with single and multiple objectives including uncertainties. The review also provides the taxonomy of traditional and green performance measures.
